Now this guy is a really interesting study. I mean, he wrote his own book, entitled Prophecies, and he predicted Stalin, Hitler, World War II... Now in the wake of all this stuff with the end of the world, Nostradamus said back then, that the world will end in 2035.
My question is, what other things did he predict, and what do you think about his prophecies?

As great as Nostradamus is [end sarcasm] I think that his prophecies could be applied to alot of people, and it's always after the fact that the prophecies turn up, and they reveal the secrets. If they are prophecies, then tell us what is going to happen next, not explain what just happened.

Like Marshel Murat said his prophecies are preaty vauge and can almost apply to anything.
The verse predicting Hitler
He shall come to tyrannize the land.
He shall raise up a hatred that had long been dormant.
The child of Germany observes no law.
Cries, and tears, fire, blood, and battle.
You could also argue that this could be many different rulers or just a lucky guess. Theirs been more then one German to break laws and have his kingdom put into a very bloody war.
People also don't pay attention to the prophecies that don't come true.
In the year 1999 and seven months
From the sky will come the great King of Terror.
He will bring back to life the King of the Mongols;
Before and after war reigns.

And you have to do some fudging to get them to come out right anyways. As DOH points out, there could have been better examples for the prophesy on Hitler. In fact, Hitler wasn't a 'German', he was an Austrian. (Both are of Germanic descent, but I mean the nation proper).

Also, don't forget people base the Hitler prophecy on the term Hister...which I think he used somewhere in there, no? Anyway, I remember hearing that "Hister" was another name for the Rhine or another river. Like one interviewee in a Nostradamus documentary said, "Why didn't he just say 'Hitler'?"
I personally think that his so-called prophecies are way too vague. I do believe weird things happen, but...probably not with him.
:egypt:
I watched a show on Nostradamuses prophecies once. The only thing that I hadn't heard of before was that he wrote in sort of a code or sypher (SP). That is any of his propecies have to de "decoded" or other wise interpreted properly to make any kind of sense.
In the year 1999 and seven months
From the sky will come the great King of Terror.
He will bring back to life the King of the Mongols;
Before and after war reigns.
I could apply this very roughly to the so called "war on terror", the word "terror" is included in the paragraph, the "king of the mongols" can be seen as symbolic in meaning a "king of terror" will reign from around 1999 onwards. As with any of Nostradmus' predictions you can make anything of it, and if deciphered in a different fashion it could mean something else completely different. It's the kind of easy reading you can pick up at the discount book shop if so inclined.

Nostrodamus...
I remember reading some of his 'prophecies' and they are written in such way that you can easily apply many to numerous different events as long as you want to...

I know this is off topic (pray forgive me) but it's like the Bible Code - one code might be in a 25 x 25 letter matrix, and yu might have to count every 13th letter, but then the next code might me in a 50 x 50 matrix and you have to count every 12th letter, and the next one is in a 48 x 48 code, and u count every 18th letter, etc., etc., etc.... If there were some consistancy, I'd believe in it, but......... :dizzy2:
