Will there be a Prima Guide published like the one used for the original STW? That book was a great provider of information on provinces, buildings, & units. It also went into a simplified explanation of how the calculations for battles were computed. I would definitely buy a guide such as this for MTW.

Yea, there is such a guide. As a matter of fact, it shipped yesterday (8/15).

I could write a better guide against it.

True Lord Ted. I think in a couple weeks we all will be able to once we have 'descended like a swarm of locusts' and picked the game to pieces and digested the first layers of its mechanics.

I wrote a fair bit of stuff for the strat guide. There's a lot of detail on the combat and morale systems. Much of it I've posted here before (at least in so far as its the same as STW), but some stuff has changed, and I wrote it while looking at the source code, rather than relying on memory as I have to do when I post here.

I stand happily corrected http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/biggrin.gif Most of the prima guides I have read have been a little lacking in depth this looks like a worthwhile addition to my library...
