Anyone esle try the demo?

I popped up on my Fileplanet browser last night...

I have to same, if you have any room at all in your heart for another bash at WWII then you should give the demo a chance... It was everything a WWII shooter should be, dramatic, loud, exciting and almost breathtaking...

The team dynamic is better than I thought it would be, you really don;t feel too alone with the guys running around you fighting...

They have handled the weapon accuarcy nicely, the weapon are accurate but there is a lot of sight drift that makes if feel genuinly hard to aim, but when you do get it lined up the rounds land when you would expect them too...

Airborne looks interesting. I'll definitely try it when I get my PC Gamer DVD with it on. Unfortunately, my internet connection wouldn't handle downloading 1.3 gigs from overseas. Or from anywhere, actually.

So after sighting a baddie and shooting him full of lead, does he still get back up Call of Duty style?

Ah, forgot to ask, is the weapon accuracy like Stalker? Sounds like it.

I'll never buy it, but I'll check out the demo. I have a feeling it'll feel like I'd played it before... :shifty:

Sometimes, but no often... Usually a well placed shot puts them done for good...

Someone has stuck a little mod for the demo on fileplanet that improves the AI in the demo, I was going to try it out...

Just tried the demo. It looks great. The effects are well done, especially sprinting. Enemies take about two center-of-mass shots from a rifle, and three or four from a sub machine gun. Headshots are instant kills. You yourself are pretty durable and healthpacks are plentiful. Ammo can be found in large quantities after any large fire-fight or house-clearing party.

I was playing through and I got to a check-point place and died - and it didn't let me continue. I don't know if that's a bug or a demo-limit, but it was very off-putting. I got half-way through the level and I have to replay it? No thanks.

I might buy it when the price goes down.

EDIT: Played through it again, that's just where the demo ends. You're also a lot more fragile on "expert" as opposed to "normal". So if you have any experience at all with shooters you should play on expert.

The crouch-peek system is very interesting, makes it feel more cinematic.

Something that got me by surprise, whether intentional or unintentional was this, I was attacking an MG nest and cleared it, as I was moving up I get mowed down by some bad guys, at restart I jump out and land near where I died only to see that the Italians took back the MG nest.

It seems pretty realistic to me to see the enemy trying to take back a position of inportance which only recently you just cleared instead of just disapearing never to be seen in the same spot again.
