:help:

I've searched everywhere and I don't know what to do. MTW2 single player campaign always freezes after I end my second turn. The first opponent will move and then it just freezes. Music keeps playing, trees keep swaying in the breeze, but nothing happens. The computer is top of the line and new, so I figure thats not an issue. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

Also, I have a ATI Radeon1300x graphics card, if that makes a difference.

my brother had the same problem, only that was turn 1. He still haven't figured out how to fix it, so he uninstalled it. Bugger, cous I had just convinced him to give it a try

Are you playing the latest patch? It might be fixed.

90% of the problems i have had with games over the years were due to soundcard driver problems, try to update those and see if it helps.

:idea2: Your card is an AGP card. I'm betting that M2TW isn't the only game that you're having trouble with. If it is, chances are you just haven't gotten around to another game that it screws up on. The problem is with the AGP settings. Your card says that it is 4X/8X compatible but...it's not.

I had the same problem with my BFG NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GS OC 512 AGP card. Took me the better part of a year and much frustration to figure out what took all of 30 seconds to fix. Heck, I even sent the card back to BFG and they sent me a new one. Same problem. M2TW would crash or lock-up after 2 rounds. I also had problems with other games such as GTR2. It would lock-up or freeze right in the middle of the game.

The easiest way to fix it is to get into your BIOS and change your AGP speed to only 4X. Even though the cards are supposed to be able to operate at 8X...the problem is the compatibility with your motherboard. I'm pretty sure that will fix it for ya. I hope so. It would be nice to have my first post be a benefit to someone. :juggle2:

Most likely conflicting with somethign else,. try taking the crd out and putting it in another slot. also look to see how hot your pc is, make sure you clean any dust on the card and the PSU.
also try settign your graphics to the lowest setting they can get, that will stop your card getting so hot.

You using a no-cd crack?

negative and negative, no mods to the game. It doesn't really freeze, its just that the animation stops while an enemy army does something, music keeps playing and everything. Btw I'm not sure about specs, as it's my brothers game that freezes, mine runs just fine

Is he using a no-cd crack?

as I've already said 2 times now, NO! no cracks! no modifications no nothing! pure vanilla 1.2!

Sorry, my reply was to the original poster who stated he had an ATI Raedon X1300 video card. That IS an AGP card http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1892411&CatId=935

Since I've also had troubles with the game using an AGP card, that is what I based my solution on. As for your brother's card...I've got no idea why his isn't working...unless there is also a conflict with the 16x speed.
