Just picked my copy up at Software, ETC. as they were unpacking the UPS delivery. They only got 5 copies, but not a one was reserved.

I think that everyone in Arkansas thinks that Medieval means Dr. Evil's smaller brother who is still bigger than mini-me.


Got to go back to work though, so I am 4 or 5 hours away from firing up for the first run-through.

Very much fun so far. I started out as the Byzantines... having the benefits of historical knowledge on my side I immediately set out to crush the Turks before they become too big to deal with. After a large battle (I was outnumbered by more than 2-1) I have pushed them back into the deserts and shortly I hope to conquer their last few territories.

On another front... I have managed to hold onto my chunk of southern Italy and Im working actively to fortify it. Also I have managed to ally with Poland and the English- and Im seeking to forge an alliance with the Germans to hopefully setup a later conquest of hungary. My lord! There's an honest-to-goodness, full-fledged manual in the box (original American Shogun buyers will remember the pamphlet we got)!
