I have reached 208 BC in the Romani campaign, the Polybian reforms are old news and I'm preparing for the Marian Reforms. One problem, Roma now has a level 5 MIC, so it cannot be upgraded further, but the MICs need to be upgraded to train the new units, does this mean that Roma can only train Polybian soldiers from now on?

Nope, unlike the polybian reforms, the marian don't request building the next stage of MIC. They are in fact replaced by a similar levelled Marian MIC, and the old Polybian one is destroyed. Or so if I recall correctly.
well damaged 100% as we cannot destroy buildings with the script, but yes you are correct.

Really? So what replaces what? Can I still train extraordinarii?

Nothing replaces nothing. Your old factional MICs are damaged to 99% and new MICs of equivalent level appear in every town. IIRC it's still possible to train Extraordinarii by repairing your old MICs, but this is an exploit. Just tear them down for a bit of extra cash.

Nah, the Polybian MIC will be damaged again, at the end of every turn. Just tear it down, repairing it will result in it immediately being damaged again.

So what can I train in a level 5 Marian MIC? (especially cavalry)

Cavalry, nothing. Not in Italia. Italian cavalry faded out of use in the late Republic. You'll have to build Factional MICs in places like Gaul to get cavalry.
You will get Legionaries, Veteran Legionaries, and Antesignani, though. And you'll finally be able to build seige equiptment.

If I recall correctly, there was quite a debate a few weeks ago about whether or not that cycle (and others, like Telam) even exist. I do believe I heard that their unpublished, so you won't be able to find them in any archives. How an EB team member got access to them, I don't really know.:2thumbsup:
