Not sure about anywhere else...but I got my copy from the local E.B. I was the only one there waiting for it, I even got there before they got their daily shipment, so I had to wait around. I don't even know anyone around here that plays T.W., but I plan on introducing people to it. IMO, theres a lot less people here in the U.S. that want to use their brain to play a game for whatever reason. Lazy I guess.
Medieval already looks daunting at first to someone who has played lots of Shogun. Imagine what happens to somebody who hasn't played Shogun.

they'd self destruct or take a rush army and charge all troops at 1 unit while a vet slowly circles them http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/smile.gif
Well I do hope the sale get better, cos low sale means bad support *its a materialistic world, Activision/CA/DT have mouths to feed*.
Hopefully things get better than STW-MI where there is only one patch 1.02 and its still beta?

Well - games like MTW and STW actually tend to ahve a longer shelf-life than many others.
Where gameplay is the essence and not "the latest glossy graphics" they dont need "as much" to make an immediate impression on the top 10. They can gain sales over a much longer period.
Someone who picked up STW today wouldn't be that dissapointed in it after all (if at all, especially at a cheap price) in terms of gameplay and looks.
Its rare to see strategy/wargames hitting the top 10 but its common to see them ranking in total sales, and still selling after periods of time where other games are long since confined to the bin.
I think MTW will do just fine. Its a pretty solid game with oodles of longevity and play in it - word of mouth alone will keep it selling for a long time even after the initial rush is over.
But - we'll see.
I saw 25 in the MTW foyer yesterday around 2:00 am GMT.

I will ignore this and not return to my American attack....as i noe realise you are just a test run for the 'quality players of culture and class' that populate the world outside your countries borders....oh yes they do exist...oh and they even play baseball...cubans are supposed be good.

i agree with darknscaly here. games like shogun and railroad tycoon II have longevity. i still see both of these on the shelves at babbages and not even in the bargain bin. in the first year railroad tycoon II sold about 500,000 copies. the original warcraft sold over 1,000,000, i think. warcraft is off the shelves now, where rrt2 is still selling. it's a different market.
