how do i build forts/watchtowers?

new to rtw after years of mtw 1.
How do i build watchtowers?

Click on your general. In the lower right hand corner there should be an icon where the buildings icon normaly is when you click on a town. It should be right above the hire mercenaries icon. It gives you the option of building either a fort or a watch tower.

When your over appropriate ground for construction of either forts or watchtowers in the campaign map; once you've clicked on your general, find and click on the construction button of the user interface. As a side note in case your not aware, only general units can build forts or watchtower's.

Another note is that u only can build watchtowers in your provinces.
