I just bought the game and I found a huge bug already!! Somehow a big black bug found its way into the game box where it unfortunately expired. I certainly hope this is not an omen of things to come!!! http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/smile.gif
PS. GOT YA!!! The bug part is true though, just thought I would make you guys nervous about the gameplay. hehe It looks amazing thus far and the music is nice too. I have not had the opportunity to play many turns yet or online, but it looks good thus far. http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/smile.gif

Psycho, I DO feel very lucky to have found that bug. I think I will put a little suit of armor on it and make it my MTW mascot!! http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/smile.gif

somehow a dead cockroach just seems to fit as the mascot of the ugli can, no? ;)

then again, you could always send it to CA and tell em to fix it!

Elmark's wiseacre topic title nearly gave me a heart attack, so if he sends me anything with his return address on it, he'll live to regret it ;-)

Hey Gil!! http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/smile.gif I like the game so much I just bought another game for a friend of mine in Baltimore. He is an old buddy from my Sid Meier Gettysburg days on MPlayer. I also have some news for those who were afraid of gamespy and how personable the chatroom lobby would be. It is almost exactly like the lobby for STW & MI/WE, without the annoying honor level numbers. hehe The gamespy interface is hidden so you do not know that you are even on their servers. So stop worrying and enjoy it when you get it!! http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/smile.gif I will be playing the multiplayer game tonight to get a feel for any problems and let you know Gil.

I wouldn't even think of getting the box if mine is not bigger than that of Elmo's! What bug is it anyway? A dung beetle?

I think I may have found one, of course, I might be wrong. I started a SP campaign in the early era with the Polish. I can't seem to build a chapter house. I built the Keep, then the Church, the two prerequisites for building a chapter house. Then you're supposed to be able to build the C.H. , but it didn't even show up as an option for me. I've tried it in 3 different campaigns with the Polish, with many diff. combinations in different provinces, but to no avail. I tried it with a fort and motte, fort motte and bailey, keep, keep plus whatever is next, and nothing works. Am I doing something wrong?

I can build one with the Spanish though, even before I have a Keep, because the Spanish already have a Church. So I'm kind of confused as to why I can't build a Chapter House with the Polish.

In the game Polish are Orthodox, and Crusade (and all related buildings) are only availible to the Catholic fraction.

Orthodox Poland = very strange, but has something to do with the gameplay.

Actually the Polish are Catholic, but historically they didn't go on crusade. So we don't let you have the chapter house.

This may not be mentioned in the manual... oops.

Ah, I see now...I wondered what was going on. I would have liked to move all over Europe with a Polish Crusade, but its not historically accurate.
