I've started playing kingdoms, and am really fond of the Britannia campaign but mainly because of my own historical interests.

Although I do find it enjoyable, for some reason I just don't feel there is enough peculiarities in it.

I like the emerging leaders and all, as well as the culture balance think (sometimes i wish i could keep some english culture to keep their billmen, also good that they have poor morale) and the barons campaign is good except they should only target the English I feel, but I just don't think as much peculiarities were placed in this campaign as were in the others (think crusaders in teutons, or in crusades campaigns, or apaches and human sacrifice in americas).

I was thinking though if they were to implement changes, what could they be.

From an Irish point of view, where one is meant to have previously united ones kingdoms I would like to have seen,

1 A process of uniting the provinces where by through diplomacy, but also through military means one could unite the country.(This would also work for the welsh and the barons/english conflict).

2 Each differing province having it's own dynasty. This is partially the way it is, but if one dynasty member is placed over a different province, the province becomes rebellious.

3 The dynasties give you individual missions like the nobles council. If you fail, their loyalty and their provincial loyalty reduces. Till eventually if you ignore them, they rebel to their original default status. If they are invading and the invasion is not adequately repelled, they may rebel also.

3 Being able to persuade English families to join your faction in rebellion, by the same means as number one, this depends on how Irish their culture is in their settlements.

4 An emerging Hiberno-Norman faction, who though allied to the English aren't always under their control, and who balance the cultures as 50/50 but don't go one way or another. You can promote cultures through fairs, bardic schools etc, or even hiring bards/musicians to infiltrate settlements to make up for the lack of a priest agent.

5 More provinces in Ireland, two english munster provinces one from limerick the other from cork, and two Irish, one in thomond (from Ennis) the other in Desmond from Blarney. Downpatrick would have been norman two and run along the north coast to Derry. A Tir Eoghain province from which Brian Ó Néill would be based. And an Irish-based province on the east coast of leinster among the forests and hills as well as one in east Connacht.

6 Tower house like forts.

They would have been my ideas. But overall, very good job. Now though, I'm stuck on Ireland, and afraid to cross the channel cause i know their templar knights will make mince meat of my spearless armies.
