COLLEGE FOOTBALL!!! It's that time again!

I can't believe I haven't seen a thread on this.

Anyway, this year I'm a Penn State Nittany Lion fan. You remember last year I loved the Michigan Wolverines, but I since transferred and now am a true Penn State fan. This is funny, because it comes at a time when #5 ranked Michigan lost to unranked App State (that's actually a school?) and Penn State beat Florida International in their home opener 59-0.

Anyway, who does everyone support and let the predictions for bowl games and the national champion start!

I honestly think Penn State has a chance to win the big ten. With Michigan sucking, Notre Dame sucking, and OSU being meh, either us or Wisconsin is going to win.

Well, seeing as the closest Division I school to me is Temple (something like one win in the past three years) I guess that makes me a Penn State supporter as well.

They have a chance to win the Big Ten, but that's as far as they're going, methinks. USC is just too good.

They are overrated. Seriously, I'm so sick of them playing in a bowl game that is 30 minutes away from their home while the opposing team has to travel across country to get there. Have them play in somewhere neutral, but cold weather for their bowl game. We'll see how good they are.

I wouldn't mind the USC getting a beat down.

As for the big-10 - my Dad and Mom went to UWisconsin and PennState. Should be fun.

Hey Ice, I was at the Penn State/FIU game on Saturday. Alas, I have to miss the Notre Dame game this coming Saturday, but I should be at most of the other Penn State home games this season. I just hope we beat Michigan this year. I'm tired of losing games to them - especially in those years when we've had a much better team.

all about the big XII south. The big ten is just a bunch of gap toothed midwesterners who cant play football worth a lick. As evidenced by the carolina boys taking the wood to UM. Come to A&M and watch how the game was supposed to be played by Texans

First, Pennsylvania isn't Midwest, you gap toothed Texan. :book:

Second, there is one good football team in Texas, Texas.

Third, you do have hot cheerleaders.

Fourth and finally, you southern teams can't play worth jack in cold weather climates. Come to Yankee territory in November and see how good you are.

Well, my guess is that I'll be on my lonesome here, but my favorite team is Iowa State, mostly 'cuz my dad graduated from there, and raised me that way. Unfortunately, we're going through a bit of a rough spot at the moment(actually, we only rarely have moments of glory(like roughly 4 years ago when Seneca Wallace was playing QB and we made it up to #11 in the country)). Oh, and btw, Appalachian State is div IAA, meaning they're likely about the 120th best college football team in the country.

I look forward to the Badgers VS. Michigan & Penn St. games. The rest of the badgers schedule is a complete joke. Of course Michigan Vs Appa St. was supposed to be a bit of joke to but there seems to be more wolverine fans crying then laughing.. I for one found it completely hilarious. If the badgers can beat Penn St. and Michigan then they will probably finish undefeated. I don't know how many teams could replace their QB, left tackle, middle linebacker, and both safeties can say that. Anyone else notice how many great RB's there are this year? Off the top of my head I can list Steve Slaton, PJ Hill, Ian Johnson, Darren McFadden, Brandon Hart, and Ray Rice.

Week 2!!!

Nearly halftime in the Michigan VS Oregon game. Michigan is down big and the ducks just scored on a fake statue of liberty. thats right, they faked the statue of liberty and their QB ran in for a touchdown. It looks like its up to Wisconsin or Penn St. to win the Big 10.

Edit: in the time it took me to write this Oregon somehow scored another touchdown. Current score 31-7. In other news the state of Michigan has been put of flood watch due to amount of tears being shed over their pathetic excuse for a D.

http://espn.go.com/, would be your best bet. You can usually get play by play updates about what is going on during the games and all the stats/scores you need after.

Penn State won again. 3-0. I really hope we can beat Michigan next week. I will be happy if we win.

"if" you win? Penn St. will crush Michigan. Wisconsin Vs. Penn St. is the Big Ten title game. On another note I really have to start watching Oklahoma, they're averaging around 60 points per game!!! Anyone else see the stats of West Virginias last game? Their backup running back got about 135 yards on 5 carries. The Arkansas-'Bama game was great to watch as was the Louisville-Kentucky game.

I'm a K-State fan (that is K for Kansas, not Kentucky). I graduated from there and watched KSU beat NU (the N stands for kNowledge!) over and over, and while I didn't go to the Big XII championship game in 2003 (remember that OU fans) I watched it on campus at a big party. Still wish I had bet money on it.

Anyway, if KSU can stop killing themselves with penalties (we're #1!) I think they can beat Missouri at home and that will make a big mess for the Big XII north champ. Who will then go face OU (makes me sick to predict that) and get smashed. Just like last year.

Anyway right now I think the national title game will come down to a BCS whine-fest between 4 one loss teams. I'm expecting LSU vs OU with UF (gotta get those initials right) and USC complaining and complaining. Not very exciting, but you have to like those four right now.

That's what I've got thus far.

Azi

P.S. I am so happy that Notre Dame is the worst team in America I might just poo!

Remember the name "Matt Ryan" BC quarterback who dismantled the yellow jackets this weekend.

Boston College looks for real, this QB is very accurate and is in the right system, not to mention we have a very good defense. Might not be national championship material but might be ACC champs and that should mean a BCS bowl.

Yeah, he looked pretty good, and Tech's defense isn't bad. Clemson might give them problems, but I can't see any of the other Atlantic division teams putting up a fight. Tech might still be able to take the Coastal, it looks pretty pathetic at the moment, and I can't see UVA holding on.

And clemson is on the road, thats going to be a tough game. Virginia Tech is on the road as well. If BC can take 1 of those games and somehow manage 10-2 or better they will remain ranked and get a decent bowl game.

The defense is the key, if they continue to play big then the sky is the limit, eventually Ryan will come down the ACC while not the quality of the SEC, still has good unranked teams in there (Miami and Florida).

I can't say I've been impressed with Miami, FSU, or VT this year. They are solid, but not great like they have been in the past. Just like last year, I think the ACC is open to whatever team can consistently play well. The traditional powers just don't dominate like they used to. BC has a great chance this year.

Stanford beat USC. 24-23.

The thundering noise you hear is the collective sound of jaws dropping across America.

Stanford is one of the worst, if not the worst team in their conference of ten teams, and one of the poorer teams in the nation. USC was the top ranked team in the entire nation a week ago. Stanford was getting the crap beat out of them a week ago. USC has not lost any game at their home stadium for six years, 35 games.

That was a great game. Those teams beat the crap out of each other. In the end, LSU just forced the ball down Florida's throat and Hester made them chew. Miles challenged his offense, and they responded. If they can make it through the rest of their SEC schedule (no easy task), I'm pretty sure they are going to take the championship this year.
