View Full Version : EB fans thoughts of M2TW: Kingdoms?
I'm debating wasting my money on this expansion and I just wanted to see if the improvements brought upon by the expansion are worth the cash? Of course SEGA lists tons of improvements and differences but from a general perspective does it really alter the gaming experience as much as it should? Etc..., just looking for some opinions really.
I for one love it, the vanilla campaign was quite boring and there was very little variety between the different faction rosters.
Here though, there are a lot of scripted events (crusaders from Europe in the Crusades scenario, English and French competition for the Spanish in the Americas, William Wallace appearing in the British Isles etc) adding a lot of flavor to the game. Playing as the Apache you have to use your underpowered troops to take out the invading Europeans, and after you've killed enough of them your own troops start using horses and guns themselves.
The only gripe I have with the game is that there are not enough of those special scripts and events that I love so much...
If you have MTW2 already then buy the expansion, if not just keep playing EB until they release a gold edition with both cds.
Oh, and the Teuton faction units look kickass :)
