Question on \'promoting\' generals

I understand that generals get pretty pissed off when you remove their title, but if you take away a title and immediately give them a better one, will they recognize it as a promotion or will there be some negative vibes left over? Or can you simply move them straight from one title to another?

Ok - yeah taking titles off them can pee them off - but giving them a new one will resolve most of those issues.

Certainly dont be afraid of doing it - just keep an eye on the guy to check his loyalty.

Hint: DONT do this with "high dread, low loyalty" generals - any general who is high dread and low loyalty is EXACTLY what the AI looks for in a revolution leader...

To answer the other half of Azmogeddon's question, you, unfortunately, can't upgrade or migrate someone's title just by dropping the new one on them.

You CAN, however, have someone who has a governorship and a national title (for example, Saladin is currently both a local ruler of one of my provinces and is also my Grand Vizier...a little odd given that he's never home to offer advice or have any in-person influence on the government).
