:soapbox:
Everyday there is a new post "There must be a bug because I can't recruit some such unit, build some such building, such and such unit isn't invincible etc." Anytime someone doesn't understand how something works, it is automatically a bug and CAs fault instead of their own unwillingness to read, learn, and understand. Granted there are bugs, but most of them seem to be eating peoples brains rather than wrecking the game.

I agreed with you until this point.

This would be exaggeration on several points:
1. Some posters might not understand how something works but still manage to point something out that might help you identify the deeper problem that might actually be a bug. - However, I will agree that for the most part, a lot are repetitious or reporting false positives.
2. Saying most bugs are only "eating peoples [sic] brains" is false as well. The ones that actually made the first page of the buglist here (after careful review), are true bugs. Of course there are minor and major ones, but in their own way, they each contribute to wrecking the game by breaking immersion, gameplay, funfactor and a wealth of other things that players look for in a game.
3. Until CA releases a patch that addresses a large majority of the hundreds of bugs remaining, it is actually understandable that there will be people ranting and/or telling their friends to not buy the game.

Uh well, there are bugs in the game but I agree that some people seem to focus too much on them and some of the bugs seem to stem from someone being drunk while editing the textfiles. The only thing that worries me is the efficiency of internal testing or maybe these guys were drunk, too.:idea2:

No I guess the keyphrase would be "I think you don't really appreciate how expensive QA is"

Agree with the OP though, a lot of the time people actually screw up and then yell loudly at someone to fix the mess they got themselves into. Now if you're the manager of a large enterprise chances are that'll work out but on a forum on the net it's unlikely to succeed.

Well, it is called people being too lazy to use search. The delay in between searches, however, doesn't seem to help alot.

Welcome to the Internet. Where 90% of the population is either stupid, lazy or both. Enjoy your stay and don't forget to check out our complementary range of internet friendly keyboards. Theres two types of people on the internet. The kids and the Elitest smart people who are usually very much into nostalgia. No it doesn't get any better. The org fortunately has both (not naming anyone but I think a mod starting with E[for elitest] has a lot of fans)

This is gross. I would rather say 90% of the people don't know the history behind the word "bug". And unless u are a programmer or very confortable with computers, u don't know what it means. Does it necessarly induce them to behave stupidly or lazily? No, i don't think so. For most people, bug has become a generic word to say "my game doesn't work the way it should or the way i'd like it to work". Nothing more.

Besides, most people don't spend their life on the net cause they have responsabilities but they do enjoy playing games sometimes. So don't be too eager in taking them for dumb users. Everyone deserves at least some respect here on the web.

Well spoken, and correct I think.
