I´ve been too busy playing Kingdoms the last 10 days to bother reading any posts so I´m sorry if this has been mentioned before.

Playing Spain in the Americas campaign I noticed that captured settlements automaticly changes names after I take them. How cool is that!!!? Many, not all, of my captured Aztec settlements changes names to Spanish ones after I take them. Finally I can pronounce them ;)

You could have always changed the names yourself :beam:

Look in the campaign script and you will see which cities change name after being captured. If the English and the French capture certain settlements then there will be also a name change.

Well I looked the campain script. It has huge potential. Now you can add events by yourselt to triger some certain kind on buildings or units. Look the apache part in the script or spanish script.

To elaborate on that (which is true):
-Open settlement scroll
-Double click the settlement's name at the top
-Enter your desired settlement name
-Close scroll

The point in that is Spanish,French or English can´t have settlements named by Aztecs or other barbarians.

Agree. I wanted to do this in RTW since the romans changed alot of settlement names after conquest but it wasn´t doable on that platform. I hope the modders pick up on this since it really adds flavour.

BI allowed that possibility

To change the name yes but not this feature.
I haven't noticed this in my game(of course I haven't taken over that many villages) but it's sounds like a very sweet feature.

Yeah it's a nice little feature that adds a bit of immersion to the game. Very few work for a very good result.
Of course if CA had given us the tools we'd have done this years ago
