View Full Version : Newbie..questions..please
I'm a little slow...I have two questions that I hope someone can help me with.
1)If you assign a general as a govenor, what happens if you take him out of that province? or if he dies at war?
2) To move troops by sea and/or set up a trading route by sea, do you need to have a ship in every sea territory from one province to the other province to form a chain?

When a city's governer is present they are more loyal I believe and may benefit more. If governer dies then the title will appear on the map and you can assign it to whoever you see fit.
If you take a titled leader out of his province he can't help to pacify the people there. I'm not sure if he needs to be present for his acumen to effect income or not because I always try to keep him at home. I had the King of Navarre die on me and the game appointed his heir from the same unit. I believe other titles reappear in their respective regions for you to bestow.

yes, you have to have a 'chain' of fleets. any break in that chain and you lose trade and the ability to invade by sea via 'teleportation'.
i believe govenors tend to be like your king. the closer they are to home, the more they can affect loyalty and income. beware that some governors shldnt BE governor either.

The only absolute is that there are no absolutes.
I haven't bothered to experiment to see if a prince's acumen makes any difference to a region he occupies but I doubt it. It seems such a waist to have so many clever princes around with nothing to do but fight. I have so many I'd like to give them duchies.
