Currently I am playing a Swéboz campaign which is going fine, except to be able to unite the clans I need a boat to conquer modern day Gotland. Except now it is 240 B.c and I have built up to large city and no options for building boats, not even a raft???
Any other Swéboz players that have had similiar experience or is it just the first cohort mod and watchmans mod for B.I that are messing things up?

Nope, you can build boats in skandza, so I was able to get over, back in the day. pirates are a pain, though

Do I have to build up to city lvl first?

You silly-billy-goat, if you are talking about conquering modern Norway, then you have only to walk onto those small northern islands and cross over!
The small gaps between all the islands and the continent each count as a ford, or a landbridge, just walk your armies into Scandinavia!
Unless of course you want to take the detour up by Stalingr- St. Petersburg!

He's talking about Gotland, as he says. Gotland being the island just south east of (mainland) Sweden, see here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gotland). You do need boats to get there.

I think with the large town level you should be able to build a port and get transport ships in Skandza. But beware of the pirates!

Managed to get there, thanks for the help. Now I'm trying to get boats from the scandinavian port over to the danish port so I can send of those hothead anglons over to invade Casse. With 3 full stacks of pirates and 2-4 halfstacks sailing the baltic that appears to be a problem

Lack of civilized navies means the Baltic,North Sea, and Atlantic are usually rife with pirate stacks, some of which can be colossal.

All of the naval port locations have been reevaluated. IIRC, another military port was added to Germania.
