I would feel SO much better knowing that nobody played, I hate knowing that they do !!

No force on god's green earth, not even a Mongol horde, could stop me putting that little wonder into the CD drive on August 30th and not sleeping for five weeks.... ok maybe not the latter but certainly nothing will stop me playing this beauty.

This is one American who is suffering along with everyone else who hasn't gotten their hands on MTW yet. Like a fool, I pre-ordered it from Amazon thinking I'd have it on the 22nd at the latest. According to the UPS tracking system, I might see it on the 28th. I took the wife shopping today at WalMart and THERE IT WAS on the shelf. Before I could even pick up the box she says,"Don't even think about it, you can wait till yours comes in the mail." She knows me too well lol. Stupid Amazon, Stupid me!

I was planning on the same thiing, but after a day, while comparing shipping time (1-2 weeks) with the total sales count, I promptly cancelled my 2 week old pre-order and convinced my wife that I should go get it from Gamestop. (okay okay, so it was her idea since it was a b-day present)

If it's any consolation, I'll tell you my sad story....
I live on the far side of nowhere somewhere in Louisiana. It's a good 60 miles to any store that sells computer games. I need nothing else at present from the big city so can't justify the trip just to get MTW. As a result, I pre-ordered it online a week or 2 before it became available in the States. I ain't got it yet.
According to UPS's package tracker, here's the odyssey of my copy of MTW:
23 Aug: nothing
24 Aug: billing info received, order put in system
25 Aug: nothing (UPS doesn't work Sundays)
26 Aug: my copy of MTW enters UPS hub in Lexington, Kentucky at 1327
27 Aug: leaves Lexington at 0348, last noted as en route to New Orleans at 1934, having passed through White's Creek and Oakhaven, Tennessee, and Jackson, Mississippi during the day.
The thing should have arrived in New Orleans several hours ago. Mostly likely case, it'll leave NO about 0300 on the 28th, arriving in Baton Rouge early enough to get on the truck bound out to the sticks where I live, so I should have it by about 1700. Otherwise, I certainly have it about 1700 on the 29th.
Is that enough US delay for you?
