View Full Version : Does the AI get "bonuses" on VH?

I always play on normal/normal, but I hear people saying that battle VH is the way to go -- the AI gets no bonuses nor me and bonuses. I'm not interested in VH if the AI gets like stamina or morale bonuses any different than a human player.
Thanks for the clarity!

On the battle-map:
Very Hard makes the effect of fatigue and morale more noticable (You and the AI will rout faster, tire faster and when tired, fight worse)
In the campaign man:
Very Hard makes all factions lose points towards you(they like you less and less each turn)

Your troops get a bonus in terms of stamina and morale on E/M/H difficulties, VH is the fair difficulty to play on. Medium for Campaign Map.
I like VH for battles cause it is more realistic and forces you to find the best tactics quickly if u don't want to hand up being slaughtered by peasants. I don't know how exactly it is coded, but units having bigger armors and equipment should tire faster than light ones.
Moreover i think in Kingdoms, it has been accentuated cause in my first battle with the Teutons i had the big surprise if being routed by 3 peasant units guarding a village which never happened to me in the grand campaign on VH.

That's not all entirely accurate. Marriage alliances still improve your relations continuously(Grand Campaign, England. Go have your dipolomat marry the french Princess to Rufus.)
In Kingdoms it is REALLY hard to get the other crusader state to hate you if you're playing one of them.

thanks for the info!
unless i'm completely blind, i don't think i can change the difficulty mid campaign, is that correct or am i missing something terribly obvious?
