Man this is hilarious, mustaches are kinda suspect on plumbers of course. Don't ask me why, just a hunch.

Sony or Microsoft....bad bad bad!!!

Bee You Em Pee.

Just picked this up and am having a blast. Did any of you early picker-uppers finish the game yet? Curious how the game holds up hour after hour.

Off to find stars, adios

Hmmm...:inquisitive: so I guess that would explain the suspenders and the gloves. I always thought it was unusual for a plumber to wear gloves.
Oh, well. Mario does look very happy.

Good job resurrecting a four month old thread. :juggle2:

Well any reason to praise this game is valid. Just a few hours in Proli? Owww are you in for some goodness.

I still can't believe that a game with a weird-looking Italian plumber fighting sewer rats could become one of the biggest game franchises of all time.

Yeah, I thought that the gorilla would have been bigger than a plumber. :laugh4: But what do I know? :help:

It is a very fun game with most of the stages not taking to long to do. The speed versions in which you have to finish in less then 4 minutes are a bit more difficult.

The ray surfing was a) A little bit creepy, b) A difficult level, c) seems to be one of a kind.

I like the bee levels (nice 3D variety) and swamp ones in the bubbles (easy). Some of the levels are very difficult... I still haven't finished the Rocky Road one.

Right on, Pape. I love how the game is very clever and always seems to be interesting with each new level, yet it's easy to drop the controller, go do something more important than gaming, come back and play for 15-20 minutes and actually feel like you did something.

Anyway, best platform I've played in maybe ever. Was never that much of a Mario fan, but this will prolly be the first in the series I'll complete.

I liked the Bee levels quite a bit too, and died the most on any level so far on the Sting Ray surfing. The controls seem kinda funky on the more creative levels (ie, anything where you have to swim, fly, teeter on top of a ball, etc) but hardly anything that holds the game up. Those levels usually seem brief and break up the traditional movement.

As of tonight, I'm up to 36 stars, including my first green star. I also got to be "Boo Mario" for the first time- hilarious. :2thumbsup:

Green star?

Yeah, I think it was in the Battlerock galaxy. Apparently, you need to find several green stars to be able to unlock a hidden galaxy.

Found that I had a green question mark above one of those galaxies when I went searching for Luigi (who apparently is unlockable)... still haven't got it as I'm a bit busy getting ready for a major launch.
