A couple days ago, I compiled a list of which traits from fathers have an effect on the son's traits, by looking in the file "export_descr_characters_traits". I also decided if the effects of the father's traits were good or bad. Sometimes, it would have a chance of giving the child a good or bad trait, or the trait that it gives has negative and positive effects. For that reason, realize that some of these traits, like the ones where I say "pretty good" or "pretty bad", that's my opinion. This is the list of which traits for a father make the better:
Drink - bad
BloodHumour - pretty bad
YellowBileHumour - pretty good
PhlegmHumour - pretty bad
BlackBileHumour - pretty good
Austere - bad
Aesthetic - pretty bad
Corrupt - decent
Upright - good
Coward - good
Cuckold - bad
Prim - decent
Epicurean - pretty bad
ExpensiveTastes - bad
"Fears" traits - good
"Hates" traits - good
Generous - decent
Miserly - decent
Girls - bad
Haemophobic - bad
Handsome - good
Ugly - bad
Inbred - bad
Infertile - bad
Paranoia - bad
Perverted - bad
PoliticsSkill - good
Prim - bad
PublicAtheism - bad
PublicFaith - good
RhetoricSkill - good
Slothful - bad
SmoothTalker - bad?
Stoic - bad
StrategicSkill - good
Superstitious - bad
TacticalSkill - good
Pragmatic - good
Xenophilia - bad
Xenophobia - good
NaturalMilitarySkill - good
Authoritarian - bad?
KindRuler - good
Realize that not all of these traits from the father give the son the direct trait. For example, if a boy has a "coward" father, he has a better chance of being brave. That's why it's good to have cowards as fathers. I did not add a few traits that are limited to Romans, because I am playing as Carthage and it's no use to me. I hope some of you find this useful, and feel free to correct any mistakes I may have made.
