I'm fairly far into a game, I have all of England and France conquered. I'm number one overall, in territory and in population. But production is weird. One turn I'm number one in production, the next I'm 11th at 9%. The third turn I'm back at number 1. What is this measuring?

I saw something about a bug in trade due to reloading games, that you could work around if you changed your capital back and forth, but that doesn't seem to help for this production number.

The graph also shows a big V down to near zero and back for production. What is going on?

I have turns set to 1.25 years (that way the seasons change normally and the years advance normally except every 5th year is skipped). Could that be messing up the calculations?

Most important question is, am I losing production somehow in a way that is disadvantaging me w.r.t. the AI?

Thanks

From my point of you, production corresponds to the amount spent in building queues, so if on one turn you spend say 10000 fl., you might reach #1 on the graphs, whereas if you spend nothing or next to nothing next turn ( due to lack of funds or building queues being already full), you will fall to the bottom rank...

IMHO it has no disadvantage whatsoever, and is a just a way to see where you stand compared to other factions...

the turn settings should have no implication on the calculations as I play several campaigns simultaneously in 0.5 and vanilla and production seems to work exactyly the same either way...
