Sidestepping those who don\'t play by the rules

There has been much wailing and gnashing of teeth lately on the subject of online cheaters. I thought we might want to discuss useful ways of avoiding cheaters while we are online enjoying ourselves.

There's only 2 surefire ways that I know of to avoid getting cleaned out by a cheater.

1 http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/smile.gif Don't play Competitive games, ever - with anyone you haven't known for at least several months.

2 http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/smile.gif Get a tight group of buddies online, only play comp games with them. No outsiders allowed.

That's about it. Doesn't sound like the kind of online fun I want to have. I play with the top 100 crowd, and I know that we all get bored with it at times. Then we try inviting others into our games and we end up not dealing well with them because we're too good. THey think we're cheating! haha!
It's a tight rope walk from here on out.
