View Full Version : Breakfast-What do you like to eat?
It actually depends on the day what I eat for breakfast. Some days when I'm forced to wake up early for Spanish, I go over the little deli/grill we have on campus and order breakfast. I usually eat this:
An omelette with 3 eggs, cheddar cheese, green peppers, and mushrooms (It's so good)
Orange Juice
Coffee
Low fat yogurt
A banana
That's Monday/Wednesday.
Tues,Thurs, Fri I wake up later and the grill is closed, so I usually eat this:
Whole Wheat Cereal with skim milk
Coffee
Orange Juice
Low fat yogurt
A banana
I've gotten on a health kick recently where I'm actually trying to reduce my BMI a bit and get food that's not half bad for me.
So, what does everyone usually start their day with?

Apple Cinnamon oatmeal. Not as healthy as the regular, but I just can't bring myself to consume regular, as it tastes like paste. Also, I'll have a glass Ocean Spray light cran/grape juice w/ it. Excellent stuff.
Breakfats, I hardly ever eat breakfast.

One of the good things about working the nightshift, is that I wake up just in time to eat dinner as breakfast :laugh4:

I happen to be eating breakfast right now. With me, it's always cereal. Any tasty cereal will do. Right now it's Weetabix Mini's. Very tasty.

I like having a variety of the following things:
Eggs
Bacon
Baked Beans
Toast
Melted Cheese on Aforementioned toast
My avourite breakfast would have to be Baked Beans on Melted Cheese on Toast. Try it some time.
During the week, time is limited and my breakfast usually looks like this:
- a bowl of cereals
- coffee or water
- some fruit (kiwi, apple or banana)
In the week-ends, I like eggs and bacon, followed by fruit and low fat yoghurt. And coffee... Nothing better then sitting in the sun, early in the morning, with a nice cup of coffee, or two, or three... and a piece of chocolate, looking at your watch, seeing that it is already 11.00 am and thinking "who cares, it's sunday, I got nothing better to do".

Me, a nice bowl of these (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chocapic)cereals. I like the taste, pity it's advertised as a kid's product. For years, I've been waking up, and my morning routine is always the same: wash up, get your cereal, watch television while eating it, get ready for school, and go.
And I'm fine with that.

Two disgusting granola bars at the moment. Unfortunately my parents bought some dry, tasteless granola bars from Kashi, and the only way I'll get back to eating tasty granola bars in the morning is by finishing off the three boxes that they bought...
Why do they never listen???
Does no one eat smörgås (http://sv.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sm%C3%B6rg%C3%A5s)? A terrible shame, especially when it's together with nice dark hot chocolate, on a cold morning. Wish I lived somewhere with cold mornings, hmm. Maybe it's time to move again just so I can do that.

eggs and bacon
cant go wrong, only right
(not "right to hell" for any of u jokers out there)
cereal or instant oatmeal on the weekdays, eggs and bacon on weekends
Three eggs
Four 8 oz glasses of milk
Two HearthBerry Sausages
Four Pieces of well buttered toast
One mug of STRONG Decaf coffee
That is how I start every day (except Sunday when it is pancakes) and I am not overweight. :P I eat so much, because I then go to school, and then work. I am lucky if I eat supper, and usually never have lunch. :P
Not to blow my own trumpet or anything, but I lead a pretty healthy lifestyle, weigh 254 lb., and do martial arts. (I know I just lost all credibility, but I had to brag :P)

During the week, time is limited for me. Erego, I usually just have a bowl of cold cereal, although sometimes I'll have oatmeal instead (along with a glass of milk, of course).
On the weekends, I like to make eggs with bacon or sausage. On rare occasions I'll have sardines on buttered bread. (Mmm, tasty!) Of course, that's when I'm up in time for breakfast at all -- I often sleep in late Saturday & Sunday mornings, so that it's not uncommon for me to skip straight to lunch instead. ~D

A smoothie. Start with a fresh banana in a blender, add frozen fruit (blackberries, blue berries, mango, pineapple, and peaches or whatever you like), active culture and low fat yogurt, and pomegranate juice (OJ is okay for a sub). Blend until smooth, drink until full.
What? Colon cancer runs in my family. :sweatdrop:
:egypt:
Coffee. That's it. I usually don't feel hungry until 11 am or so. Don't know why, but that's how it is.
Wholegrain toast with butter and a glass of apple juice.
I just drop some yoghurt and fruit in de blender, quik and easy. In the train I usually eat some dried beef.
Three eggs
That is how I start every day (except Sunday when it is pancakes)
Three eggs every day?
Es muyo cholestoralo, senor.

Delicious! lol
I am pretty darn fit, so it can't be THAT bad. :P Eggs are healthy as long as you don't sit on your arse all day. :P lol

I think you can be "pretty darn fit" and still have high cholesterol.

Weetabix (three pieces), some kind of fruit, and bread with whatever I can find on top, occasional eierkoek with jam. Also, a glass of fruit juice (orange/apple) and a glass of milk.

lol, I think I live an active enough lifestyle for it not to matter. I am thirty-three now and have no real health problems (normal blood pressure and all). In 10 or 20 years if I start to slow down I'm sure it could be harmfull, but not now. I used to eat a can of tuna with breakfast for the protien, but after haing that every day for a few years...it gets old. :P Luckly eggs aren't like that. :P

Sunnyside up? :P Yech! lol I like to fry mine on both sides, then carefully remove the top with a fork, raise the plate to my mouth, and drink the delicious egg yoke. :beam::cool4:

Get your cholesterol tested Vuk. It's really easy to do. You can't 'feel' heart disease until it's already irreversible, and a certain percentage of the population has a genetic predisposition to it without regard to fitness or general health.
I'm healthy enough, younger than you, eat smart, normal blood pressure and a 65 bmp heart rate and because of a quirk of genetics my 'natural' triglycerides are dangerously high. More information is never a bad thing, most likely you'll go right back to your eggs but you'll be a little better aquainted with yourself as you do.
:egypt:
I don't think cholestrol has much to do with how fit you are. More about what you eat...
