Winning hearts and minds?

If in America a pile of guns and grenades was left at the side of the road I imagine people would pick it up. If you do so in Iraq the Americans will shoot you - even though they put it there! Interrogate? Why bother, they're obviously guilty as apart from killing americans why else would Iraqis need such items in Iraq? :soapbox:

The way I heard it it were materials that could be used to make roadside explosives. They should hire me, I would just stack 3 bricks and wait untill they snap and come out to knock it down.

Either way, it has the stench of desperate frustration all over it.

That tactic is so stupid, it's almost unbelievable.:wall:

Fraggony's tactic is rather clever in comparison.

That would depend on what you're after, wouldn't it? Bait and kill scavengers, then write it up as preventing roadside bombings. Success! :dizzy2:

If in America a pile of guns and grenades was left at the side of the road I imagine people would pick it up.Speaking personally, I'd steer well clear of the stuff and report it to authorities. I wouldn't walk up a a pile of explosives and pick it up. :dizzy2:
