After reading some of the unit descriptions for Baktria for the 1832 time ( i just love them), i wonder if the new FM bodyguards (hetairoi kataphraktoi) are going to replace the old ones completly or if they´ll still be available for recruiting in MICs after some sort of reform?

Quote unit description text (bolded for relevance)

Even if the much heavier Hetairoi Kataphraktoi superceded them in guarding the Kingdom's Royalty, their position in the battle line remained unchallenged as they were much more mobile and could easily retreat and regroup than Kataphracts. They fought in the Heavier cavalry flanks guarding them from more agile opponents, much like hypaspists and thureophoroi guarded the pike armed phalanxes in the infantry.

It would a shame to loose these guys, as they are some of the best looking units i´ve ever seen in a RTW mod.

Let it be known, let it be said, let it be quoted from here to eternity...

"You will NOT miss the early Baktrian Bodyguards, not after you have seen the late ones"

I love Baktria too. Just such an interesting faction to play and I cant wait to see their new Bodyguards. The current ones are my favorite unit in the game.

BB, you may want to read Keravnos' response once more.

Ah, got it now. It seems there was a misunderstanding, i didnt think the hetairoi
kataphraktoi would replace the early BGs completly (i.e., from the start of the game), my question aimed at the fact that the text implied that the earlies still would be available after the advent of the katas. Well, at least this is how i unterstood it, but i´ve "visited" the oktoberfest yesterday, so my thinking may not be ...err, coherent.
