Need to restart a game with patch?

Hi

I used to play MTW2 1.1 as Russia. I just downloaded patch 1.2, and in order to install it I had to reinstall my game and install patches 1.1. and 1.2 (otherwise there was an error message).

My old Russian campaign is still there in the game. Can I continue it, or do I need to start a new game for the patch to kick in?

No, you can keep on playing with the patch... It helped a lot in my own campaign notably it rectified my family tree that missed a lot of genrelas due to marriages abroad...
