View Full Version : Save between battles...

One of the things I miss the most from MTW:VI is the save between battles feature. It was really really handy. When you pressed End Turn button and, say the AI attacked you 5 times, you could save before each battle. This way if you had no time to fight all battles you could return to the save at a later date and finish them off.

I wonder why it wasn't implemented in RTW? I find that sometimes I simply have to give up on a turn because I have to fight lots of battles (and I never autoresolve) and am forced to return to the game when I have more free time to actually finish the turn and all the battles that come with AI turns.

Thus, I asked myself the question: "Is there a way to save between battles in RTW:BI as it was possible in MTW:VI ?"

Does anyone have any info about this? Your comments would be most welcome.

There is, actually.

On the battle screen (with your forces on the left and the foe on the right), press ESC. That will bring you to the menu, where you can save and load games. From there, I think you know how to proceed.

Did this help? I know it's not the same thing as MTW:VI's way, but if you created only one save game (say "betweenbattles") and overwrote that one when you saved between your fights, it should amount to the same method, I believe.

I believe the appropriate thing to say here is: D'oh :wall:

Can't believe that I haven't noticed it before :laugh4: Oh well, you always learn something.
Thanks for your help Warmaster Horus. I owe ya a
