Can anyone recommend any good historical books on Brandenburg-Prussia in the 1700s and beyond?

I knwo of some which I can not exatly recollect, but you shall certianly find some things littered across various books. I believe you should check out the Seven Years' War Thread, and you will find many Prussians/Brandenburg things in suggested books.

Of course, Bavaria stands by...

Iron Kingdom (I forgot the author) seemed like a good buy to me. Haven't gotten to that stage yet, though.

Iron Kingdom indeed... I can't remember the author either! Anyway's Wilhelm II is on the cover.

I have the book but only read a few pages into it. It's pretty darn big and has a lot of material in it. I personally find it hard to get into because there will be a good bit that i'm not too interested in but if you're looking for a serious look into Prussia from its conception to it's very end after WW2, check it out. :2thumbsup:

Thanks for the suggestion.

I've bought and started reading Iron Kingdoms. It's pretty good source imo.
