I noticed Ile de France has two tradeable goods. Yet Ile de France is an inland province. The province can't use ports and ships to trade around the world.

Is there any use for these tradeable goods in Ile de France?

you can still trade things by building trade posts, you just won't make as much money. it generates local income, i believe.

The Seine was quite navigable in the Middle Ages as far as the Ile de France, remember that the Vikings launched an attack on Paris by sailing up the river.

If I don't need to build anything just yet, I'd build a trading post. It's going to pay for itself in 16-20 years and make money after that.
