Happy Columbus Day or Day of the Race if you're from the Southern Hemisphere!!! Expect no one to care or realize it's Columbus day, but might as well celebrate the man's miscalculations.

I had a voyage very similar to that of Columbus this morning too.
After what seemed like a millenium, I woke up from my slumber and slowly make my way from my bedroom(Old World). I hoped to make it to the Orient (kitchen) for some savory foods filled w/ many spices. However, I seemed to stumble onto a new, strange land (my computer) filled with strange people (The ORG). I tried to communicate to the strange people but no one replied back to my thread except for some British dude in the north.
Now in order for my experience to be complete; please make a generous donation to me and worship me. Then take to me to prison.

Columbus finally stumbled upon the Western hemisphere on October 12th. But in order to keep the holiday on the same day;they made the second monday of October, Columbus Day instead of keeping it on the same day each year. My grandfather was born on Columbus day in 1925 but now it is on a friday methinks...not sure.
Hey it wasn't my fault that Pizzarro decided to exterminate the Incas. Would you rather an Englishmen do it???

Columbus Day... really?
Damn I nearly missed it! Thanks for the reminder.
I'll mark it in my diary along with International Cardboard Week and National Navel Fluff Day. :Zzzz:

Columbus day falls on a different day in North and Latin America, hence the confusion in this thread. :book:
Happy Columbus Day / Spain Day / Day of the Natives or whatever it is called where you live. :balloon2:
