Kingdoms...Patch?

Really sorry if this is a repost, but I got some serious issues with kingdoms when loading battles it randomly crashes when entering battle terrain, any advice would be appreciated. Tried different graphics settings & all the usual stuff to remedy...

Did you unpack any of the data folder stuff with the unpacker tool?

No I didn't but did neglect to mention 1 pretty important thing, patching up to the 1.03 from the dvd it tells me my data_0.pack isn't there, which it is...I'm getting the feeling its gonna be a reinstall everything moment :(

Hi Prodigal,

I'n no techie but I seem to remember having the same problem - although mine was at installation. Therefore 3 pieces of advice I have for thee!

(1) Get a good book as the install takes ages - maybe one of the Sharpe books for some light reading.

(2) Uninstall all of your MTW stuff - particularly if you have any mods - I have loads hanging around which can impact on things.

(3) Do a complete re-install from scratch....& get a few chapters of your new book in whilst you wait.

I hope this helps. As I said, I was having a few issues & I thought first tip must be to uninstall of the cr*p & do a fresh install.

LMAO! You got the good book part right, I uninstalled everything, erased all the folders, reinstalled, suffered the standard "OMFG WTF's my manual!" moment, but now it's all running peachy. Really nice expansion :2thumbsup:

I wont start another topic about such similiar thing so I write it here. Seriously: Do they even plan a patch for kingdoms? Are they think that this game in its current state is so perfect?

I hope this isn't true. They must make a patch for Kingdoms, and another one for vanilla!
