The first of the two Muslim religious festivals has arrived to last for three days. Happy ‘Īdu'l-Fiṭr ― عيدالفطر or Ramazan Bayramı as we call it over here, since it begins the day after the last day of Ramaḍan (Shewwal 1).

So what if it's not to our European tastes? It's free candy nonetheless, and who are we to refuse free candy!?

Free candy, dude, free candy!

Turks bearing gifts, sometimes it just is better to be impolite. This stuff is so godawfully sweet it actually burns in your mouth. It's like drowning in a bucket with honey.

Yeah, i recall eating them at some point in the past. They were quite nice. Never been able to find them again though.

Yes, happy Ramazan Bayramı,

lot of happy people eating around you I guess!

Wow, those baklava things...one of my favourit pizza bakers is from Palestine, and boy, every time I am in there to pick up a pizza he gently forces me to eat one of those....Well, I guess you know how sweet and filling those fellows are & one honestly thinks about deleting the order. But his pizza is the best in town. And he is a cool guy.....
