Mod wont even install..

I have Windows Vista and I think it may be something to do with that, but after I finsihed my download of EB1.0 at 637 MGB, the first thing i noticed was that it had no unique symbol on the installer picture? Is that right? But after I click to install it A small black screen pops up very quickly and then disapers and thats it.....the black screen just shows the location of the file on my desktop...mayeb i download a corrupt version?

I too have this problem, although I don't have Vista and don't get the black screen, I still have no unique icon for the installer. When I click on the it, I get a screen which asks me what program I want to use to open the file. Thanks in advance.

PS: I have nothing which seems logical to open the installer with.

I am using Vista x64.
I downloaded from filefront using Getright (download manager). I got a file called "X6.exe". I do not know where the X6 came from, but I suspect Getright renamed it. The file had an unique icon (the EB icon). It loads normally and starts the installer.

conclusio: perhaps you have a corrupted download or the program you downloaded EBV1 with renamed it (expecially the extension .exe).
Perhaps check the file size (right-click on downloaded file and choose Properties) it should give the size 668.099.207 Bytes). If it is different you definetely have a corrupted download. Try to redownload.
If the file size is correct, you could try to rename the file to something like "EBV1.exe" and try to run it.
