Nice shots! Really like the last one. ROMA VICTOR!!! (or something like that).
Just tell me, what do you think of the new units? I made I thread last night with a suggestion for the Imperial, but it seems it's gone now (either deleted or never posted).
There I mentioned that the new Imperial shield are WAY to bright, like some sort of reflective material on them. In comparison with Marians, it just doesn't fit. Don't have the chance to take a screen now, will do when I get home.
Again, great shots. EB and PaintShop master!

Good old abou....are you like a proffessor in a historical field? You sure do know a lot about the time period. Enthusiastic Amateur?
I know that the Roma Victrix thing has been mentioned before, but I always see you answering fans' historical questions, so I just became curious about what you do for a living. No pressure if you would rather not answer a personal question.
I, myself, am an excited history and science amateur....read every friggin book I could get my hands on....in other words, a geek. Funny thing is, I was always able to hide it in school, as I was more worried about getting something else besides knowledge at the time, so I had to be mr cool.
Now that I'm a dad, I can be a big dork, and be proud of it. :laugh4:
Sorry for going off topic....just curious is all. :2thumbsup:
Hmmm... interesting question actually. Also good to know that my presence on the board hasn't gone unnoticed!:2thumbsup:
Honestly, I'm just a 5th year undergrad applying to grad schools. I focus in biology, but am getting minors in chemistry and Latin. I'm really interested in the Hellenistic period - mainly because I cannot think of an era more exciting and dramatic. I read what I can and am an avid /. reader. I'm a geek too.:laugh4:
I guess I just know a lot. At the same time, I don't. Now Paullus and Urnamma... those guys make me look like a dunce when it comes to Hellenistic stuff. Granted, they are working toward their Ph.Ds, but still - no contest.
In the end, I just try to do what I can. I'm from the cynic school of mindset, but don't like it when factions don't get the credit they deserve. I ask questions and seek answers. I guess that is what makes me cool.
But hey, since you're a dad you can totally read to your kids stories of Achilles. Or better yet, Neoptolemos, who beat King Priam to death with his own grandson. I know I will!:beam:
Oh! I also want to be a superhero when I grow up.
