I have a feeling the 'Sox are going to take it, they look very good this year. I would love it if my hometown team the Rockies took it though, that would be a major upset.

Well, with my white sox out of the playoffs(by a lot:wall: ) I'm rooting for the relative little guy, the Rockies. I'd love to see them go all the way, and at this rate, they'll do it w/out losing a game.:sweatdrop:

Rockies are out because they beat the Phillies.
D'Backs are out because, well, I just don't care.
Red Sox are out because I hate Red Sox fans.
GO INDIANS!!!
-edit- Crap, I misvoted in the poll.

Rockies now lead 3-0...looking pretty unstoppable. Hopefully the indians/sox game will go 7 games so they have less rest.
They've won 20 out of their last 21...amazing.

Well, the Rockies just made it in. That was fun to watch and I think that the Indians can take the Sox but it could be hard since the Sox are no pushovers.
one of the things I always found funny about America is that you guys have a national baseball championship but call it "The World Series"...

Hey, the Canadians are invited!
Yes, I know, it's lame...
The Rockies are scorching hot right now and their hitting and pitching are in top form. I get the feeling whomever wins the AL Pennant is going to have their butts handed to them on a plate by the Rockies in the World Series.
Now if only Colorado could move it's fences further out so that pitchers feel more comfortable signing with them or being traded there. That ballpark wreaks havoc on a pitcher's career stats.

Just because you guys don't have a baseball team...
Wow, wait... some people not from Cleveland are actually pulling for the Indians? How is this possible? Here I thought they were still a perennial joke to outsiders.

It's their turn on the cursed list (the Cubs are hopeless). ~D
The Rockies have looked impressive, but a 9 day layoff is going to hurt. All that momentum wasted.

The funny thing about that is(which I think is unfair), is that Boston had picked up a pitcher from Japan who has been playing in their professional baseball league and the media has labeled him as a rookie. Kinda dumb and a bit disrespectful if you ask me. Plus, a game between our Wold Series champion and Japan's. I think that would be cool to see.

Boo-yah!, the Tribe's mountain man draws first blood for the Tribe, now men on third and first!
Go Indians!
EDIT (2:07) : ANOTHER HOMER! SIX RUNS! The inning isn't even over! We sent their starter packing and now we're having our way with the reliever! Lofton's on base!
EDIT: (again) Lofton steals, Base hit and Lofton scores!

There are bunches of really good japanese players. Ichiro bats .351
^ right but they come here. Take Matsuzaka, in Japan he was the best but in America he's just among the best. America invented baseball and has, at least for now, a monopoly on it.
BTW- there's TWO other White Sox fans here? Damn. We should form the Kenny Williams Hate club and wallow in our misery
I hate to say this but the indians are gonna win. I like seeing the rockies successful but they are going to have to wait 8 days for another game and the team that gets in seconds has won at least the last three.(I dont feel like looking back any further).

I guess, but I've read(mainly during WWII anyways) many times about the Japanese playing baseball while on garrison duty on pacific islands, so it has been really popular. Not trying to say that we are not the only ones, I'm just saying that we need to acknowledge that other nations have their own top professional leagues like Japan(kinda like our MLS to England's EPL).

Nah, if the bosox win the next game then the indians will only have won the last 1 game. I'm not sure why everyone thinks waiting 8 days is a disadvantage. It's not like they aren't going to be fired up.

8 days is long enough to take the concentration away from the team.
Indians are looking good.. Rockies are way too confident. :whip:

Eff the effing Indians. And eff my stupid Bosox for having such lousy effing starters. And especially eff ERIC FREAKIN GAGNE. Even our sole win in this series that jackass put in jeopardy.

Not that the rest of the league cares, but look at who we have to chase every year. There wasn't another option to have any chance at even making a playoff appearance with the MFY in the AL East

Other than Kenny Lofton, I think the Indians are a pretty classy team. I really enjoyed watching them taking this beating with such class, and letting the Red Sox enjoy the honor of being slaughtered by the Rockies.
