That's what I'd like to see, units of around 40 men, but that you could get 25 units on the battlefield...or something like that, I dont like the fact that there's a max of 16 units http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/frown.gif.

Why not let the gamehost/player decide between 12 and 30 units max?If your pc cant handle it, you can just set the max to 12,if your pc can you'd have a much bigger, more fun battle http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/biggrin.gif.( This'd also make reinforcements [read-more than 16 units] useful in stead of them just being distributed one by one to be slaughtered or routed...

Anyway, just my idea...

The number 16 is of great significance throughout the code, and changing it would be extremely nasty.

At least you can have more than 65536 men across everyone's armies this time round http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/smile.gif

Hey Gil...

What about Crusades??? Aren't there 22 units at a time?

Well, at least I found a file that included a 22 unit bar, instead of the normal 16 unit bar we have now. So at least they tried.
