Greetings!

The EB team (especially me this time) is looking for a skilled person who can handle professional videoediting software, and is willing to work with us (me).
The goal will be first creating a "testintro" which will be included into the next EB build. A full membership will be - if we are comfortable with you - high likely. Of course I - and other parts of the team - will help to improve your skills, to make sure that your knowledge is as best as possible.

Sounds interesting. What should I do?

Proof your worth!

uhm yeah...how?

To get a overview of what you are capable to do, please create a video with the following creterias:

- It shouldnt have less than 30secs and not more than 1min. playtime

- All scenes must come from EB 1.0

- All movies must be compressed with .wmv (Its the codec that the RTW engine uses)

- All movies must be edited with a professional programm (I prefer Adobe premiere!)

- The scenario is upon you (storybased movies may be more usefull for your later projects)

- All scenes must come out of the movie_cam / The UI needs to be cropped out (cineastic style)

Whats the deadline for submitting?

All videos must be send in till (edit:) anytime you want

Sounds quite promising, but I have some further questions...

Feel free to ask me.

Thats it for the moment, I am awaiting your submissions!

So long,
Julian (a.k.a Kampfkrebs)

How do you take ingame video of EB? If someone tells me how to do this then the rest I know how to do. I have Adobe Premier.

I would love to do this. I've created many videos in the past (not just for RTW) and enjoy doing so. Two problems though:

1. EB lags like hell if I am to be filming large, epic battles with video settings cranked up, and laggy videos = bad videos.

2. My current RTW-filming device, FRAPS, is fine for non-professional videos. But it is insufficient for what is needed here, because the stupid little "Fraps" logo is at the top of all film. Filming with Fraps also often decreases my FPS, which is the last thing I need for filming an EB video.

Anyone have any ideas?

Well I made a video but its utter crap, making vids on RTW aint my piece o pie.

So im taking myself out of the race :laugh4:

plus I cant even get the damn thing to upload onto my photobucket, its stuck at 50% encoding.

I think you got tangled in a web of nots. But the meaning should be apparent to anyone.

1.Try taking many shots from small battles, and merge them together to get a "epic" look. Overviews shots of the battlefield are a no-go in most cases, since Fraps would lag to much, and the movie_cam:render command is broken. So at least in RTW there is little to no chance to capture shots of epic battlelines clashing into each other.

2. Buy fraps or gamecam. Myself uses a registred version of fraps, and Im quite comfortable with it.

I fail to see any fault or possible misaprehension, possibly it does sound like something a lawyer would say, but...

Not that it's important in any way, but it can be read as "Should not have less than 30 seconds. Should not have not more that 1 minute." Depends on what you decide to let the and affect. But anyone can understand that he means between 30 seconds and 1 minute.

Welcome back to the forum. You've been gone for a bit.

well, my video is good and all but its all pixelated, the raw AVI footage from fraps is clean and good quality, but after I put it in Adobe primere and make it wmv (even AVI has the same result) it becomes pixelated, any idea's how to fix this?

Use the windows media encoder. go start -> programs - windows media -> encoder

As for the epic look there is a switch some where ( i don't know what the code for the target line is) that gives you a eagle view of the battle field i had it working once in the old v0.81 for making screen shots for the monthly competion but i didn't like it for playing campaigns so i erased it

Kampfkrebs

I think you mean the Field of View feature, but it doesnt fix the problem with the broken rendering engine. Nevertheless its quite good to take screens

heres a video I just made messing around on for the Mak's.

not really that good, the time limit kinda screwed me up, maybe I should have thought out my idea a little more before filming it but It doesnt rly matter, just wanted to show it so I didnt do it for nothing. :laugh4:

Good start

I like the music

too bad for the stuttering screen while the camera moves but that's the whole problem for everybody i guess

Good work spoofa. FRAPs is frustating me a lot and between only being able to record 30 seconds and then have to exit and reenter EB, and having to convert all of the video, it just takes me too much time to just get the files into Adobe Premier. Sorry.:shame:

Good work Spoofa.

Does the gamecam trial have any annoying words in the videos like Fraps does?

Spoofa

The deadline was because I really need someone who is willing to help me out.

Well, I dont think that anything more will be contributed, but here (CET) its still the 25th, so lets wait till 24:00 :2thumbsup:
