I have been a long time reader of these forums, and a long time player of eb. I just thought it time to become a member of these forums and congratulate the eb team on its accomplishments.
To put it into perspective, for well over a year I have played and enjoyed eb, much of that time on a 5 yr old comp (win xp, 512 ram, ati radeon 7500). The joys were many, but just recently my wife got a laptop, not much there with win xp, 2gig ram, x1200 video, and amd dual core. But it was enough to allow me to play with large units, and I felt like I had bought a new game. Then....
Eb 1.0.... I tried bittorrent.... 2 day download... called a friend with highspeed net ( I live in the boonies no high speed) and got it sunday. Like a kid in a candy store. Took me all day with the uninstalll and reinstall and 2hr drive to meet my friend. But it was worth it.
I can't thank the team enough. Through the last year I have played this mod,
and enjoyed it thoroughly. That is saying something considering I am a war/simulation junkie, and previously was going from eu2 to hoi1/2 to .... etc. Through parts of my life I cannot recount eb has been my sole choice of computer recreation.
Now I hope to become a new member of this community, and contribute whatever I can. Though it may sound corny, to have some folks put together a mod bigger than most games for free is something that I appreciate greatly. So again, many thanks, and I hope I can contribute positively to this community.
