Per historical records, there were plenty of instances of Rome using hellenic slingers. Most significantly from the Client King of Syracusae, and somewhat in the Illyian Revolts.

Could eb 1.1 have these units recuitable for type 3 and 4 governments in select locations?

I'm really happy to see so much of the AOR change for Romani, most especially in Africa. Still, they cannot recruit anything in certain Carthaginian territories, Sardinia, the Barlaerics, and Carthage most glaringly. Is this historically accurate?

I think there's a model sharing issue for the slingers, but I might be wrong.

What does AOR mean? I'm guessing 'area of recruitment' but i could be horribly wrong. On this note, why is it that the only recruitable units in Carthages lands (once conquered as Romani) are Numidian skirmishers and cavalry? I built a type an allied state, hoping to recruit desert units, but was left with exactly the same as i would with any other goverment type. intentional or accidental? cheers.

Too bad I have no answer for the second question...

What else would you expect in Africa?

If this seems rude I am not being sarcastic, but I am geniuenly puzzled as to what else could be avalible.

Indeed. There's the Numidians (four flavors - skirmisher, archer, normal and noble cavalry - but dunno which ones Romani can get), the Garamantes in some places, forest elephants if the Romans can get them, and that's pretty much it. You want more "desert units", you head to Arabia...

You said "Normal" numidians. Did the numidians actually have much in the way of line infantry?

I really would have liked to see a more standarddized "Garrison" unit the Romans could have used prior to the Marian reforms, although it would probably be a silly enough unit it might not be worth a unit slot :)

"---, normal and noble cavalry". Notice the comma separation. Their horsemen come in the mundane and noble varieties, remember.

I know this is OT but I thought it would be the best place to ask, how do you pronounce the name of the numidian noble cavalry, Gldmkt I think it is.
