Cretan Archers

As KH, can I recruit Cretan Archers from Krete through any form of barracks? I imagine it must be regional but I remember in 81. EB I had the second to last regional barracks but still could not recruit these magnificent archers. Back in the former version of EB I just recruited them as mercenaries but now, in 1.0, there seems to be a severe lack of them selling their services.

Toxotai Kretikoi require a level 4 factional MIC.

Ah, factional. I thought it would have been regional since they are limited to their island. Thanks though, I guess I'll get started on building up a factional barracks.

Same principle as the Spartiatai and the Tarantinoi; they're still Hellenes, they're just a uniquely awesome brand of Hellenes.

Cretan Archers need not only a tier 4 MIC but for some Greek factions also a level 2 or 1 government. And it is not possible to create a level 1 or 2 government in Crete. Or?

I had to copy the Cretan Archers to a level 4 government.

You can build up to level 1 gvt in Crete...

All Hellenic Factions can recruit the unit in a Factional-MIC (4 IIRC). At least that's what Arkatreides' card told me.
