View Full Version : MASSIVE armies like the promotion screenshots??

This is probably a stupid question but how do I get massive numbers of units like pictures such as the ones they show u as promotional shots like (400 or so a unit) cuz the largest option the game gives you still doesn't seem large enough. only about 160 per infantry unit.

I don't think it's possible, that's only for promotional purposes I guess.

It isn't possible at all. There was a talk a while back about it at the Rome Total Realism forums but they met with some problems they couldn't fix.

Oh, this is also insulted me a lot than I've saw this pictures. But why they maked game much worse than it could be???

But why they maked game much worse than it could be???I would expect this is probably because home computer equipment at the time of release didn't have the capacity to show the number specified. In tests, not a single modern home computer could run R:TW on highest settings with an acceptable framerate. Of course, by now, this has changed.

In addition, the game engine isn't designed to show more than a certain number of troops. If this number is shown, then the engine itself slows to a standstill, regardless of the power of the computer. The shots in question were either somehow modified, taken using an enhanced version of the engine, or were taken with an atrotiously low framerate.

Does this is a same walls, horses, shields, towns, generals, etc?
Graphic options can't change this.

It's normal for them to go over the top with their screenshots I'm afraid. Eye candy makes more people wanna buy the game.
