Hi,

Having started my first campaign while playing 1.0, I have just take all of Sicily and was expecting one of my characters to gain the provincial ancillary mentioned in the up dates for 1.0. Is this broken? None of my characters are able to get any title to say they are governor of the Sicily like it says in the 1.0 readme.

Any ideas?

It takes some time of continuous governance in desired area to acquire said ancillary; it works roughly the same way as with the Seleukid Satrapy system AFAIK.

your characters could not be old enough (28, i think), or , they could already have the maximum number of ancilliaries.

I might just be making this up, but it seems that they also have to be consuls/ex-consuls or praetors/ex-praetors.

Cheers.

Was it not quaestor/ex-quaestor?

no, they do not have to be an ex praetor or ex consul.

Do they have to be quasetor/ex quaesator thjough?

No. A non Consular/Ex-Praetor will simply recieve the title rector provinciae, while others become Proconsuls and Propraetors.

Does it work with client rulers?

IIRC in a few places it does, but it shouldn't do, these represent romans apointed by the senate to rule romans, not foreigners coerced to rule their own country in the name of the senate.
