Can you remove or fire ancilliaries?
cause my leaders get some crappy ones....and i feel i should be able to either
fire them, send men to kill them off
or just plain delete them and pretend the gods wiped them out of existence
if your guy is in the same stack as another general you can drag and drop it onto them and it will transfer but thats the most you can do.
i seem to get a hell of a lot of 'evil mother in laws' which are both bad for governors (+1 unrest) and bad for generals (-1 morale) so i usually give them to someone who already rules a very stable province. its a ridicululous ancilliary anyway. like your troops would run away in battle because the general has sour relations with his wife's mother.

Nope, it is impossible to remove ancillaries. You cannot even do it with scripting. :embarassed:

When i get either a really crap apdotion/come of age, or some old codger is about to die, then I send them round my empire to collect 8 crappy ancilaries from my good fms, then buy em half a dozen mercs and send them off to on a suicide mission in to deepest barbaria.:smash:
Biggvs Dickvs, we have a very important mission for you. You will take a number of barbarian mercenaries and scout the woods of Teutoburg. It is imperative that you take the mother-in-law of your cousin on this mission. Her role is a very closely guarded secret which you are forbidden to ask about.
If you have enough money you can recruit a new general and pin those nasty ancillaries on him.
Funny though, if i was a king or a general (in ancient Greece or Rome), i would throw everybody i dislike to the wolves (or Gaesatae) :2thumbsup:
But that just creates another person with rubbish ancillaries.
glad you are neither a king nor a general. Wolves, fine, Geasatae <shudder>
