A couple of semi-newbie questions:

Hi all, just a few quick questions for anyone who might know:

1) Is there a way to adjust the game difficulty so that the Strategic game is set to 'Normal' (I hate blatant AI cheating) and the Battle AI is set to 'Expert' (I'd prefer my challenge come from there, not from unlimited AI money.. http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/wink.gif )

2) What do the Acumen and Dread traits do for a member of Royalty? From what I can see, you cant give them titles, so they can affect provinces directly. Do they convey the bonus in some other way?

i think high dread might reduce enemy morale locally
i charged my kings royal knights with max dread over a bridge and they routed 2 units of spearmen virtually instantly and shorty after the enrire army fled
my other units very still not even over the bridge

as for acumen, if i get an heir with bad vices like coward, good runner or pervert but with high acumen then i keep him until he is no longer in line to the throne at which point they can make excellent governers

There is currently no way to split the difficulty level.

Also, does anyone know if there are plans to divide the difficulty settings for the patch?
