What does dread do ?
Why shouldn't I kill all of my 199 prisoners I had made in the battle ?

anyone else experiencing problems with now being able to advance as quick as in Shogun, both in the Techtree and in conquering other provinces ?

The challenge in M:TW isn't so much in conquering provinces, it's holding them afterwards. http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/smile.gif

Dread in province governers lowers chance of rebellion, in generals I think it means enemies are more likely to flee.

As for prisoners, how can mere money make up for the immeasurable joy of slaughtering hundreds of the helpless enemy with the click of a button? http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/biggrin.gif

I have never.. not once allowed anyone who has fought againest me to escpae with their life. As my cav mop up the routing infidels i periodically execute the prisoners on the battlefeild. Il then execute remaining prisoners when finishing screen comes.. and for some reason i still have some prisoners left at end of battle,... and i kill them to. Yea vice this... peity that.. but i have had almost no rebellions.. with tax rates almost all high/v high.
