And I feel obligated to close the thread if that is the standard to be contributed.
There's political satire and plain offensiveness. The last posted cartoon oversteps that mark by some way. On some forums it may be a legitimate focus of discussions, but the level of offense likely to be caused is too high for the Org, even in the Backroom.
Patrons may feel I am out of order here and too harsh - in which case, a legitimate discussion may be had in the Backroom Watchtower. My view is that we have certain standards, and one of those is not to cause gratuitous offense.
When I saw the thread I thought it would be a great one and to keep coming back for more cartoons. And very quickly it was closed because one poster stepped over a line. Why couldn't the offensive content just be deleted? Seems a bit drastic. The thread has in my opinion great potential and I find it a waste to see it closed.
So I ask that the thread is re-opened and that a rule is added that the posted cartoon cannot display anything which will result in a warning if written in text.
And sticky it, because cartoons are timeless!
Cheers,
DJ
