Last night I attacked Arsé, This was the first time I saw the new oppidum, the barbarian “stone” wall in 3D on the battlefield, without the Arsé oppidum crash posted in another post. It’s really great work!
I approach the wall with ladders, just like I do with other normal stone walls. First thing I mentioned that the casualties during the approach are much fewer than at the approach of a normal stone wall. Second, when my soldiers take the wall towers they stop shooting unlike the wall towers of the normal stone which gonna shoot at the enemy after they are taken. (The enemy was inside, I don’t know if the wall towers do shoot at enemies outside.)
It seems to me that the oppidum act more like an original wooden wall in stead of a stone wall. Am I right? and is this the way the oppidum used to act?
