View Full Version : Background script does not damage foreign governments
Resuming this thread (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=93447)...
Playing as Romani I haven't seen the script damaging foreign government buildings in neither of Taras, Messana, Lilibeo.
What can be wrong with my setup?
Savegame when I'm going to capture Messana: http://uploaded.to/?id=cj7709
I always always activate the background script, EB 1.0
On my to-do list. Will reply when I've had a closer look.

Yesterday I've conquered Alalia on Korsim (I'm playing the Romani) and I noticed the old government wasn't destroyed. I ignored it, because in all the other cities I've conquered before this was not a problem. Reading this, however, I hope it will not become a problem that forces me to quit my campaign!
It won't destroy your campaign. However, you should still destroy the old government and create your own.

Thanks, that's what I was hoping for :2thumbsup:

I conquered Sardim yesterday after I posted that post. Everything was back to normal. Strange that only in Corsim the government building wasn't destroyed (and I yes I always play with the background script)

I've noticed several times now that a gov building wasn't destroyed, but it happened only when I waited till the city surrendered. If there was a battle, it was always damaged.

If there was a battle, it was always damaged. This has been my suspicion, since it's similar to another, more subtle problem that's been reported. Has anyone seen a the script fail to 100% damage a government building after conducting a siege?
I'll continue to investigate.

Sorry, I don't get whether you're asking has anyone except iamphet or just has anyone :saint: I have seen this issue after proper siege (1-2 turns) and following assault.
The only case when the script worked so far was when Syracuses sallied and I captured the city.
