As part of the upcoming EB:TE, our mod will include a new system of representing the southern greeks.
Therefore, I would like to ask any Greek historians if they would be so kind as to suggest possible names for 2 "replacment KH factions"
Bear in mind that our mod starts in 268bc. Also, if people would be kind enough to suggest which cities (based on the current eb map, and also any other vital cities of a league you suggest) would be part of the factions they suggest.
Thank you all.

Looks like a great mod if it actually gets done....
Why not split the KH into Athens, Sparta, and maybe Rhodes, too?

Why not split the KH into Athens, Sparta, and maybe Rhodes, too?We will feature a completely new system with KH,but we will keep it in secret for now.

Use the Aetolian and Achean leagues, i do believe they were quite prominant around this time.

I agree about adding Aetolian and Achean leagues.
I think that it will make things more challenging in Balkans.
However, in order to accurately depict the situation in Greece, I suggest that two more cities should be added in Peloponnese, Sicyon and Megalopolis.
Achean League existed since 368BC, dissolved in 288 by Antigonus Gonatas (Makedon's faction leader) and re-established in 280BC. Lasted until 146BC, when Romans dissolved it.
Recommended starting cities: Sicyon and Megalopolis. These two cities joined the League in 243BC and 240BC but were the most important ones and the hometowns of the most important leaders of the League. Moreover, the 4 founding cities (Dymi, Patras, Tritaia and Farai) where rather small and not so historically important.
Aetolian League existed before the Peloponnesian War (431-404BC). In 279BC they defeated the Gauls and saved the oracle of Delphoi. Lasted until 146BC, when Romans dissolved it. They where considered to be less civilized that other Greeks.
Recommender starting cities: Thermon
Corinth should remain in Makedonian hands (it was later conquered by Acheans).
Athens and Sparta should become independent cities.
Maybe Sparta could be a faction of its own if it is possible, since it had an important historical role in the events of 3rd and 2nd centuries BC.
Some good points there pcaravel, they will definetly be taken into consideration. But I can tell you now, I am 99% sure Sparta will not be have its own faction, remember, we are trying to portray India and Western Asia, if we have another faction in Greece, that is one less faction we can have in other areas. Also, about the new cities, don't you think the Peloponnese is crowded enough as it is? :laugh4:

Having the Achean league requires at least one more city in the Peloponnese.

Yes...
When did the Maks take Pergamon?
Edit: I meant Thermon :shame:

When did the Maks take Thermon?
Never if I remember correctly. Romans took it when they conquered all Greece and dissolved Aetolian league.
Also, about the new cities, don't you think the Peloponnese is crowded enough as it is?
Well, maybe two new cities is too much, but as QwertyMIDX said "having the Achean league requires at least one more city in the Peloponnese". In this case I suggest that Sicyon should be the one.
